The Glam Awards
The Glamour Awards are an annual award ceremony held for the African youth which focuses on youth empowerment through the recognition of their talents founded in 2016 at The Midlands State University. This year we are celebrating the youth who are pursuing both their education and passion of the Arts industry, business, sports, entertainment and Film making by looking at content and creativeness released between November 2018 to September 2019. The main goal of the awards is to empower the youth who are involved and expose them to industry giants in any field that they are well vested To shine the light on African youth and let them represent Africa on the World stage from a young people's perspective. The theme for this year is The Rise of The Youth. Previous winners include Ray Vines, Garry Mapanzure, Dj Towers, Bhadillar, Calvin, Asap, Culture Create and Many young superstars.
The Cut Above The Rest
The Glamour Awards believes in the power of the youth. Youth is the backbone and the future of any country. For the youths by the youths, the show focuses on the emancipation of Zim-Talent to greater heights. Founded in May 2016, the creators of the show had a vision whereby every young artist, musician, author, actor, entrepreneur, model, fashion designer, converge together and help one another to excel whilst improving their lives and standards of living through their talents. The Glam Awards is a vibrant youth brand headed by a young group of energetic people. Unlike most other highly-focused awards ceremonies, the nomination pool spans the whole of the entertainment industry, including sports, music and acting. As a result, if the sheer breadth of its reach, there are a lot of awards to hand out at the Glam Awards. So, how are The Glam Awards decided? The winners are actually decided mostly by a large group of specially picked fans, bloggers and other normal, everyday people. That's right, we utilize something called The Glam Awards Voting Academy, where prospective decision-makers take an in-depth quiz of sorts on the Glam website that is used to test their knowledge regarding the many different industries that are represented at the Glam awards. If you pass the test, you are officially part of the GLAM Awards Voting Academy and get to really make your voice count. So, essentially the awards are decided by the fans.
Obviously, this really sets the Glam Awards show apart from all of the many awards ceremonies and makes it even more fun to engage in. The fact that fans are the ones who get to make the ultimate decisions and get to feel like they are actually part of the whole process is really a testament to how unique this event is. It is no wonder why it has become an attention grabber amoungst big cop orates in Zimbabwe.

The Glam Awards work on meritocracy. A highly focused group of journalists and bloggers as well as specially picked fans do wide research and come up with the nominees. Submissions are done to unearth other talents that are on the horizon. Please note that The Glam Awards are a highly focused youth award show that looks at young people's work and it also reserves the right to revoke a nomination or an Award to any nominee if they involved with activities that are harmful to children, encourages the use of drugs, involved in body shaming, cyberbullying, hate speech, being discriminating to women or the description of gratuitous violence explicit sex or activities that cause unrest amongst the Young People. The Glam Awards are also in full support of activities that promote green economies and curb the pandemic of Climate Change because we believe that the Youth are the most to be affected by this problem.
